Balerung can be reached in the following ways:
Walking
It takes about 20 minutes to walk from the center of Ubud to Balerung via the main road (Jalan Raya Peliatan).
Public Transport(available from 5:00 - 17:00)
Public transport runs regularly from Gianyar to Ubud and from Batu Bulan to Ubud. To reach Balerung, get off at Peliatan, near Puri Agung or the Peliatan Market (Pasar Peliatan). Then, walk towards a large banyan tree (pohon beringin) on the eastern side of the intersection, and continue walking eastward for a few minutes following the directions given on the map.
Free round trip transportation
is also provided from the Ubud Tourist Information Office to Balerung for visitors who want to watch our regular performances on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, as well as other special performances which are held from time to time. Transport for our regular performances departs from the Tourist Information office at approximately 18:45.
